Hud and I are still sick. I coughed the entire way through the concert last night (Darrin and I had date night) but luckily, the show was "Tao: The martial art of drumming" so I don't think anyone heard the coughing. It's a very snotty, tired, cranky house this morning. Hudson kept us up half the night. Bless his heart.
"I love thee to the depth and breadth and height, my soul can reach, when feeling out of sight, for the ends of being and ideal grace...I love thee with the breath, smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death."

House update
The potential buyers said no, thanks on our counter offer. We decided to lower ours a little more and throw in a little seller contributions to see if they would entertain the idea. It will be inconvenient to move in April if this deal goes through, but I do like the idea of not being tied down for our next job(s). We can go anywhere we want and not worry about selling this summer. The thought of hiring movers and getting an apartment for 6 months wears me out, but I think, in the end, it would be a smart move. We can survive a little inconvenience for the greater good.

Brought to you by the number 5
Hudson has 5 teeth now! Three on top and two on bottom!
These are not the best pics (he makes this face every time I try to take a picture of him. I think it's because he hates the flash) but they do show his new, fancy top teeth.
He and I have both been a little under the weather and, therefore, cranky.
He wakes up early from his naps because he can't breathe there's so much snot on his little nose. Poor guy. I think we might try a humidifier in his room and maybe that will help?
Also, in other news, our realtor came over to show our house last week to a potential buyer that had seen it when it was on the market (it's not currently on the market and Darrin and I aren't sure where we'll be teaching next year). Anyway, they've submitted an offer, to which we countered. We'll see. The timing isn't great, but we could always rent an apartment for a few months and the nice thing is, we wouldn't be tied down and could move wherever we want for next school year. We could really spend some time figuring out (A) where we want to live and if that's to continue living in Grapevine, great (jobs permitting)....and.....(B) find a great house and use the money made on our house as a really nice down payment.

Yay 9 months!
Hudson had his 9-month appointment yesterday.
He is 31 inches - 99th percentile. He's apparently going to be very tall if he keeps this up.
He was 22 pounds - 60th percentile.....so, for being premature, he's made up for lost time.
Hudson had a wonderful baptism on Sunday. I was a little worried because the 11:15 service sometimes falls during his first nap, but he was a trooper and he did awesome. It was so cute, he grabbed our pastor's lapel and just kind of hugged him. Soooo cute.
The only picture I have is from the car ride to the church.....sorry!

signing off
Darrin and I fly to San Antonio tomorrow for TMEA convention.
We are sooooo excited to get away for a few days and spend some time learning and getting re-charged as educators! I'm nervous about being away from Hudson (I've never been away for more than one day) but he's in good hands since my parents are here to watch him.
I'm sure I'll have plenty of good pics to post when we get back!

Yay for a happy boy!
Hudson did AWESOME today at Stroller Strides! (That's my mommy work-out class that meets at the mall). Our class is from 9-10am and he usually naps around 9:30, no matter how hard I try to push it back. So he's usually fussy during class and the past two weeks, I've had to leave a few times because he was full-on screaming over the instructor's voice. The nice thing is, we're all mommies and we've all been there. But today, he did great! We even stayed for storytime and he colored a valentine with the other kiddos.
He napped a little bit after storytime so I walked around the mall, but then he woke up after 30 minutes. I thought that meant he'd be fussy when we got home, but he's having a blast right now.
He's exploring the entire house. Caught him playing in Morgan's water bowl about an hour ago..... Enjoy!
