"I love thee to the depth and breadth and height, my soul can reach, when feeling out of sight, for the ends of being and ideal grace...I love thee with the breath, smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death."
- Elizabeth Barrett Browning

New house

Just wanted to post a pic of our new house!
We are so excited! Closing will be on or before June 20th!
It will be nice to have a little more square footage and a pool!
We're hoping to have a pool party mid-late July, so get ready!

Hudson's bday party

Hudson had a GREAT 2nd birthday party a few weekends ago!
Life is just now slowing down with school almost out (one more week for Darrin and two more weeks for me)....so I'm just now blogging about it!
We had lots of good food and thanks to some awesome gifts, we had a bit of a bubble party in the backyard! So thankful for our wonderful friends that were able to make it and thankful that my parents were able to be here as well!

Hip, Hip, Hooray!

Our house sold! I realize this was fast and some of you may not have even known we put it back on the market (Tuesday). It sold on Wednesday. It's a really good offer from a buyer that seems reasonable and educated on the issues of a 53 year old house and its foundation. We still need to get past the inspection process, but I feel pretty confident that this sale will go through.
Darrin and I have been looking at houses in between our CRAZY schedules and hopefully will agree *cough, cough* on a house within the next few days.
Hudson is doing well and will soon turn TWO YEARS OLD. It's crazy how time flies!
This is his most recent 'school picture'....love him.

Better get going to put him down for the night and then put myself down for the night! I'm exhausted after taking 150 middle-school band kiddoes to Six Flags for the day.

Updates

We are officially on the home stretch as far as school is concerned. I took my band to UIL contest last Monday and I'm happy to say that they received straight first division ratings all across the board. (A superior rating from each of three judges on stage and the same in sight reading).
I am so proud of my kids! And I'm so happy that it's over for the year! I love UIL Contest and look forward to the challenge but I'm always so much more relaxed when it's over!
Darrin takes his band to contest on Thursday so our household will be even more relaxed after this week!

Last weekend was our girls' weekend get-away at the Gaylord Texan. We had soooo much fun! It's nice to have husbands that let us get together and can handle the kids for a night!
We started off with lunch at Napoli's, a little Italian place in Downtown Grapevine, which is great. Then went to Painting with a Twist, also here in Grapevine. I cannot WAIT to go back and do another painting! This place was awesome! You can also bring your own wine....when the artist/teacher hears us getting critical of ourselves, she rings a little bell and you are supposed to take another sip of wine.

Then off we went to the Gaylord, where our chocolate martinis awaited us in the room.

We had dinner and then went dancing at Glass Cactus.
When we woke up, we had a breakfast buffet at Riverwalk Cantina in the Gaylord, which was excellent as well!

I'm so lucky to have friends that make weekends like this sooooo much fun!

He's a Dancin' Machine

We had a girls' night this weekend (more photos and stories to come) and the Hall Family came down to visit. Addison, Kylie and Hudson had a blast dancing this morning!

Sunday-Funday

Last weekend, I decided I needed to add a little color to our den....it is AMAZING what new throw pillows can do for that room! And it makes me so happy to see them when I come home every day! Ridiculous, I know....but it's the little things.
Hudson is doing great! He's getting sooooo smart! We're realizing more and more that he knows EXACTLY what we're saying. We are now censoring our TV and our words. :)
He LOVES to "drive" the car.....However, after a bout with the CD player (he put quarters in the slot, apparently thinking it was a bank...thank goodness Grandpa was able to fix it!) he no longer is able to play with those buttons. He loves to put on mommy's sunglasses and drive.

We've also discovered the beauty of Joe's Crab Shack!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that place.
Now that the weather is nice, we can sit on the patio and Hudson can play on the playground, but we still get adult food (not McDonald's happy meals, although they have their place, too) and we can even drink a beer! Genius.
