"I love thee to the depth and breadth and height, my soul can reach, when feeling out of sight, for the ends of being and ideal grace...I love thee with the breath, smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death."
- Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Hudson's first birthday!

Okay, so life has been C.R.A.Z.Y.
Interviews, house showings and first birthdays, oh MY!
I'll update more on the house/job situation as events turn into decisions (and hopefully I'll be able to make a decision soon).
Hudson had a great birthday party on Sunday at noon! We had lots of friends and my parents have been in town so that I can go to some interviews, etc....so that has been VERY helpful!
I wasn't sure if Hudson would really dig in to his cake and it took a little coaxing (as you'll see in the video) but he eventually got after it. He LOVES all of his toys and has been playing with them all morning!

Weekend pics

Saturday, Gloria and I hosted a garage sale. I made $60, but that's $60 I didn't have before!
Didn't really sell much, so unfortunately, had to bring a lot of it back into our house. Planning on donating some and trying to sell some on craigslist/ebay. Saturday afternoon, the McDonalds came over and Hudson got to hang with Luke, which was super fun and super cute! They both enjoyed the wagon (thanks, Nana!) and we all went to dinner at Palio's (this great pizza place right by our house - awesome). The boys played together great...and Mr. Luke has come out of his shell! It's awesome, he was loud and all boy this time! It's just so fun to watch both of them develop their personalities!
Sunday, I had a wonderful Mother's Day! Darrin took us to breakfast at Old West Cafe (Migas, yummmmm). Hudson got me a gift certificate for a mani/pedi! Can't wait to use that!

Tormenting OJ

That's my boy!

kisses

Hudson's learned how to "give kisses".....sooooo sweet!

Happenings

So it is almost summer! In celebration of that fact, I bought Hudson a baby pool last week.
He hated it the first time (I used the water from the hose instead of getting warm water from our kitchen faucet - LESSON LEARNED!). Now that mommy pampers him with warm water in his pool, he LOVES it!

Hudson's getting better at feeding himself with finger food, although we've noticed it creates a "food beard".....for instance, here is a pic of his "mac-n-cheese beard."
