"I love thee to the depth and breadth and height, my soul can reach, when feeling out of sight, for the ends of being and ideal grace...I love thee with the breath, smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death."

We had a great time on our trip! Mommy and Daddy caught lots of fish and our family all had a chance to spoil Hudson. He's very much the cuddlebug that he started out as in this life, but we're having fun cuddling with him and enjoying it. He still goes to bed wonderfully at night and he's sleeping at least 6 hours straight pretty consistently now. Sometimes we even get 7 or 8 hours at night. But for naps, he doesn't understand what's going on when I put him in the crib. He's supposed to be cuddling with someone when he sleeps during the day, right?? Now that Daddy is back at work, Mommy can't cuddle with him for every nap, though.
He's actually been napping in his crib for about 15 minutes now as I type this, so fingers are crossed!
Here are a few pics!

Vacay

We're leaving tomorrow morning for Salina (for two nights) and then to Minnesota to stay in a cabin on Gull Lake with my family.  We're very excited!  Hope Hudson travels well!
At least we'll be able to break up the trip a little bit and we won't spend an ENTIRE day in the car.
He had a sonogram done today to determine how bad his reflux is....then we should hear from our pediatrician tomorrow on whether or not he will need meds or if we'll just deal with it.  Either way, he will get much better once he can start eating solids.  The sonographer said that all babies have reflux, some just have it worse than others.  What is weird is that Hudson will have three or four feedings in a row where he barely spits up at all and then he'll have two or three feedings where it seems like he doesn't keep any of it down...and I really don't think we're overfeeding.  Although he is a little piglet, so who knows.

Anyway, I'm sure I will have LOTS of pics upon our return!

Here are a few pics of our new furniture!  I got tired of having to lint roll my son every time his body touched the couch.  And the pacifiers....ughhh.....

Consistency is key?

So after several days of Hudson not wanting to sleep in his crib, or really, anywhere except Mommy or Daddy's chest, we've decided to be very consistent in the way that we approach naptime and bedtime.  So far, so good.  He's doing awesome!
We also bought a loud, oscillating fan for his room and I think that's the best decision we've made in the past 7 weeks!  He loves the noise....Of course, the air circulation helps with the smell, too!
