"I love thee to the depth and breadth and height, my soul can reach, when feeling out of sight, for the ends of being and ideal grace...I love thee with the breath, smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death."
- Elizabeth Barrett Browning

At Gma and Gpa's house

Well, my house was driving me crazy. Dust, paint fumes, and lots of noise.

Hudson and I decided to head to Gma and Gpa's house a little early. We got here Thursday and will be here until Saturday or Sunday. Hope they don't get tired of us!

Hudson is having lots of fun with them; he's smiling a LOT despite teething.

We miss Daddy a bunch! Can't wait to see our shiny new bathroom when we get home!

Hopefully we can get our house "officially" on the market and get it sold!

It will be nice to live closer to Darrin's school so that we can see him more often!

Here is a pic with "Keptin".

Hudson's loves to snuggle with him!

Thanks Channa!

Pics

My favorites.
Not OJ.
He snuck into the picture.

Morgan hates it when I let him cry...

Hudson's 4 month check up

Hudson had his 4 month appointment today.
He weighs 15 lbs, 14 oz. (75th percentile)
Head is 17 inches (75th percentile)
Height is 26.5 inches. (90th percentile)

Soooo, he's a big boy! Very healthy. He got his shots today, which he wasn't too thrilled about.
Just tried to put him down for a nap but it's really loud in the house as the demolition crew is taking sledgehammers to my bathroom wall right now.

We do have to take him to a cranial specialist for his head shape. He always leans his head to his right and he always lays on that side, so his head is a little misshapen. The Dr. said it's no big deal unless his neck stiffens up when you turn it the other way, which his neck does.
I guess we have to do some physical therapy maybe and they want to check his skull just to make sure everything looks good. I'm hoping he doesn't have to wear one of those special helmets. But if he does, he'll be the best looking baby with a helmet ever!

I'll try to post some pics later!

Hudson update

Whenever they did the sonogram on Hudson to see if he had reflux, they found "renal pockets" or "mild hydronephrosis" and referred us to a pediatric urologist. The urologist sent us to the hospital for a VCUG test, which we did on Tuesday. They gave us a CD to bring back to the urologist in a few weeks to discuss the results.

Basically, his kidneys are dilated (stretched) slightly, and they are worried that urine may be flowing back up from the bladder into his kidneys. This doesn't cause pain, but can cause kidney infections and further damage to his kidneys as he gets older. They've told us that most mild cases resolve on their own (about 90%). Worst case scenario is that he would need surgery when he gets a little older, but nothing life-threatening. Nothing we can't handle.

I just get frustrated because once again, I hate dealing with insurance. Since we switched over to Darrin's insurance, we are starting over with our deductible for the plan year. Had to pay $516 for the VCUG and should be getting another bill from radiology anytime. I'm just glad we have the money in savings....for now. With the bathroom remodel and possible foundation repair, I'm not sure how long our savings will last! But hey, God will provide! My husband has a job that supports us and enables me to stay home with our son. We are soooo blessed to have such an amazing, healthy family! Worth every penny and we are rich because of it.

Travel, new babies and teething...Oh My!

Hudson and I went to Oklahoma to visit the Hall Family for a few days.
We got to meet Kylie, who is precious! The Halls know how to make some cute babies.
:)

Hudson is teething so he's not always the happiest baby right now, but we had fun anyway!

He's wearing his OU jersey today (thanks Grandma and Grandpa!) to support the Sooners!
He'll have to wear his Kansas State stuff next weekend....
