"I love thee to the depth and breadth and height, my soul can reach, when feeling out of sight, for the ends of being and ideal grace...I love thee with the breath, smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death."

Awwww.......

Swine Flu

Fort Worth ISD just canceled all classes and activities until at least May 8th.
CRAZY!!!  Darrin is off for the rest of this week and next week.....a little scary.

HEB ISD is still on as scheduled for now.  No confirmed cases of Swine Flu....

Anyway, thought I'd post some more pics.

We have been trying to fix up our backyard.  Our shed has had quite the "bee problem" the entire time we've lived here.  Darrin has started spraying them and knocking down the wall (turns out live bee removal was $650).  Here is his "exterminator suit."

Big Band Dance

Darrin's "Paschal Big Band Dance" was last night and it was awesome!
I actually made it until 11:00pm!  I haven't stayed up that late since before I was pregnant!
His jazz band sounds amazing and we had a really good time.  Darrin and George were both pretty busy directing the band or schmoozing, but I had a great time chatting with Suzanne (George's wife)....she said, "you know, in 15 years, you're going to be bringing Hudson to dances like this..."
It was an exciting and frightening thought at the same time.  It seems so far away, but it will be here before we know it.

Feeling more preggo

Well, I'm on my 34th week now and I thought I'd never reach the point where I was "ready" to have the baby, but I'm getting there.  I've been very lucky and have felt pretty good my entire pregnancy, but lately, I am tired when I wake up....I'm tired at work....I'm tired when I get home...I'm tired....all. the. time.

My back hurts and the only thing that seems to help is a bath.

My feet are swelling and I have one pair of flats and my crocs that fit.  All other shoes have fallen by the wayside.

Like I said, I've been pretty fortunate so far, and I still feel pretty good...just had to vent about that.

Darrin and I were talking the other day about how my belly button looked like a smiley face, so I couldn't resist....

Enjoy!

It's official

My belly button has popped out.  One of my 7th grade flute players pointed it out the other day.  It was a slightly awkward moment.  I told her it was like a timer on a turkey, telling me I'm almost done!

Here is my 33rd week belly pic!

Nursery

Hudson's room is almost done!!!  We just need a couple more things (glider and ottoman, mobile, changing pad) and then our son.....and it will be complete!  We're so excited to meet our little guy...I can't believe we only have two months until our due date.  I have my moments where I don't feel ready and I feel like there is so much that I don't know (and I know that there are a lot of things that Darrin and I will have to figure out as we go).  I worry about all of the mistakes we'll make.  But I guess that's what all parents do.  I'm sure my parents think they made mistakes, but I can't think of any.  They are the best parents I could ever ask for and I so hope that I can be the kind of mother that my mom is.  I think I'm really lucky to feel that way about my mom.
