Brody Stats

Brody had his 2 week appointment yesterday!

He weighed 8lbs (28th percentile), was 22 inches long (75th percentile) and head circumference was 14.5 inches (50th percentile). He is thriving and we are thrilled!

We gave him his first bath last night and he was NOT a fan.

Hudson is getting more interested in him, so that's been fun, too.

He wanted to sit right by us and watch us give Brody his bath last night.

He's already such a good big brother and the tantrums have slowed down.

He's been going to bed pretty easily at night and has been more cooperative in the mornings getting ready for school.

Coffee's just as good as sleep, right?

We're doing well here at the Duff house. A little tired, but that's to be expected.

Brody is doing awesome and is really a pretty easy baby, so far.

He's doing a bottle every 3 hours, but most nights we get a stretch of 4-5 hours, so that's nice.

Hudson's doing well, but not too interested in Brody just yet. He's given him a few kisses good night, but we can't get him too close (I can't manage to get a picture of the TWO of them).

Hudson has been throwing some MAJOR tantrums at bedtime and sometimes when we go to school in the mornings, but today, he was SUPER happy to go to school....not sure how to replicate that, but I'll take it! My mother-in-law, Katie, is here for a few days and it is so nice to have the help! I feel so fortunate that not only do I love my parents, but I love my in-laws as well! Not everyone has that kind of relationship, unfortunately...so I feel very blessed.

Brody had an AWESOME night last night....he slept really well after a rough day.

Amazing how much better he can feel after having a good poop!

So thankful for my amazing, helpful parents!

And just when I thought my heart was full, it grew.

Brody Darwyn Duff was born at 2:15pm on Friday, January 6th, 2012.

He was 7lbs, 8oz and 21 inches long.

6 hours of labor is a little easier than the 20 that I had with Hudson!

We are back at home now as a family of four (with Grandpa and Grandma here to help, thank goodness!). Mommy and Brody are doing great! Hudson is excited and a little unsure of what to think right now, but he is an AWESOME big brother. Daddy has a few days off and is napping right now since he let mommy take the first nap shift this morning! I can't believe how blessed we are.

Holy Heartburn, can't wait to have this baby.

I've never had heartburn in my life. And that's a good thing, I've realized.

It's not fun. I'm now 39 weeks and 3 days pregnant. Hudson was 3 1/2 weeks old by now.

I've realized just how uncomfortable this can be. I've added 43 pounds to my normally 107 lb frame.....my knees hurt, my feet hurt, my back hurts. Everything is swollen and the heartburn is like the icing on the cake.

Okay, enough of that. Thanks for letting me vent. We're ready for Brody to make his grand entrance anytime. Eviction notice has been served.
